Gabicci Clothing was formed in 1973 by two entrepreneurial friends, Jack Sofier and Alex Pyser. Jack's wife Maureen suggested a name for the new company following a visit to the Italian seaside town of Gabicce Mare, and the Gabicci Clothing brand was born. Towards the late seventies, together with the traditional Gabicci customer, the young and fashion conscious became interested and Gabicci became a major fashion brand.
