Converse began in 1908 specialising in rubber galoshes. Eventually they started using this rubber to make sneakers. In 1920 the famous basketball sneaker was born, the "All Star". The intention of the shoe was purely for basketball but gradually they increased so much in popularity, everyone was wearing the iconic shoes.The Converse 1970s Chuck Taylor Hi is Part of the latest 1970s collection paying homage to the classic All Star trainer featuring canvas uppers, raised foxing with the iconic blue and red stripes.
