There has been a surge in small domestic denim brands which can be confusing to a consumer, especially if purchasing their first premium denim. Hawksmill Denim Co. shines out from the pack with it's minimal branding and super-premium fabric and construction celebrating old school production in a modern fit.

The majority of this AW15 collection is made of denim from the Cone Mills White Oak mill in North Carolina USA. This year the mill is celebrating its 110th anniversary.

Cone Mills are the only remaining mill in the USA producing selvedge denim which makes this brand extra special. The White Cone Denim boasts an exclusive hand and depth.The brainchild of Fraser Trewick, a man with 20 years of experience in the denim game previously working for brands like Duffer and Nudie Jeans, his aim is to create denim which does not date in terms of style but becomes more beautiful with age. Manufactured on vintage union special machinery, a Union Special 1940's American Draper X3 fly shuttle loom, resulting “in a product which is built to last and not suffer the vagaries of fashion, these will appeal to the purists among us"  the jeans are manufactured to the highest standard. Fraser has pulled a bit of a coup with his choice of denim supplier, each style is created from the ever reliable Cone Mills White Oak selvedge,Trewick says, ‘We draw our inspiration from historic English and European work-wear. Although the Americans popularized denim in the 20th century, Europe has its own rich design history from which to draw from. The aesthetics of our branding reflect this.’

The Loose Tapered Cone Mills Jeans is constructed from the much acclaimed Cone Mill White Oak denim with great attention to detail which includes nickel free copper rivets, Union special chain stitched hem, heavy corded button holes, belts loops folded under the waistband for extra durability and heavy duty sail cloth pocket linings, these jeans are made to last and look better with age.

APPAREL_

The apparel shown in the brands first season continues the minimal branding and high quality construction.

The USN Jacket is based on an old work-wear style and features a chest pocket with pen insert, two lower patch pockets, Hawksmill branded shank buttons and one inside pocket - made from 100 % premium heavyweight cotton/canvas.

The shirting is also constructed in high quality cotton. One plaid shirt and a woven shirt both in heavier fabric for the colder seasons they can be layered up for warmth and look great with any outfit.
