The county of Northamptonshire, England has a long history of shoe making dating back to the 13th century. Originally this was due to its plentiful supply of oak bark and its proximity to water, abundant supply of material (e.g. leather from local cattle markets), and its central location in the country for trading links.
Solovair, the fashion side of NPS shoes, came to fruition as a Doc Martens manufacturer, creating the Sole-of-air cushion sole for a number of distinctive designs.
For 35 years NPS produced Solovair (Sole-of-Air) boots and shoes under licence, which were sold under the name ‘Dr Martens by Solovair’.
That technology and design finds itself manifesting in familiar styles to this day, highlighted by the exquisite craftsmanship of the Solovair Monkey Boot, dressed here in a Greasy matte black.
Now incorporating a Goodyear welt, this contemporary come classic silhouette is completed with a micro porous cellulose insole with antibacterial protection to the 7 Eye Monkey Boots.
Offering unparalleled Made in England craftsmanship, the Solovair collection will soon become a staple on your feet.
